ABOUT OUR SHAKE MIX

• HOW DO I CONSUME THE NUTTY SHAKE MIX?

        Add a scoop of the mix to warm milk, stir well and it’s ready! You can also            add ice cubes or refrigerate to serve cold.

• WHY JAGGERY AND NOT UNREFINED SUGAR?

Our nutty shake mixes are zero refined sugar because refined sugars provide empty calories; that is, zero nutrients. Jaggery and other unrefined sugars contain more nutrients (protein, iron, magnesium, potassium) than sugar.

• WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS FOR COLA?

Cocoa contains zinc, magnesium, selenium and iron which are helpful in wound healing, strengthening bones and nerves, and boosting immunity.

There is No Added Sugar in Peanut Butter and 70% less sugar than leading brands in Choco Almond Spread.

This is a vegan and all-natural product. We want to ensure that we match healthy to yummy, so that you don’t feel guilty afterwards.

We have unjunked all our products and therefore they are healthy unlike other chips available in the market. You can eat them any way you want and any time you want without guilt.

• WHAT IS THE QUANTITY OF ALMONDS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS?

About 40%. Almonds are full of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. They help you lower blood sugar levels, reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels.

Jowar flour is considered a superfood loaded with antioxidants, fiber, iron and calcium. The flour is made from Jowar seeds which are high in carbs and can be used to make a variety of gluten-free breads and cereals.

• WHAT IS NACHNI FLOUR AND WHAT ARE ITS HEALTH BENEFITS?

Nachani Flour is a high quality, nutritious, gluten free flour that has been made for over 200 years. It is a main ingredient in many healthy and delicious savoury snacks and cookies. The flour is made from 100% All Natural Grains and is not adulterated with any additives, preservatives, fillers, or artificial colouring.

• ANY SPECIFIC REASON FOR USING SUNFLOWER OIL?

It is low in saturated fat and high in both polyunsaturated (PUFAs) and monounsaturated fatty acids. PUFAs include omega-3s and omega-6s and can reduce cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, thus improving heart health

• IS BEING GLUTEN-FREE THE ONLY REASON WHY YOU USE RICE FLOUR?

Besides being entirely gluten-free and rich in protein and B vitamins, it provides you with a good amount of fiber essential to lowering cholesterol, improving blood sugar levels, and helping with digestion.

• IS IT TRUE THAT POTATO STARCH CAN BE AN ALTERNATIVE TO FLOUR IN BAKING? 

Yes. Additionally, potato starch can improve digestive and colon health. As resistant starch ferments, it converts into short-chain fatty acids, feeding the good bacteria inside the colon.

 

ABOUT OUR COOKIES

• HOW ARE YOUR COOKIES DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?

For one, we taste heavenly. Second, we are good for you. How have we achieved this impossible combination, you ask? Well, our cookies are filled with 40 – 50% nuts, devoid of any added maida, and packed with protein and fibre, with just enough chocolate goodness. Don’t take our word for it, try one!

• WHY IS THE COOKIE SIZE RELATIVELY SMALL?

Our cookies are like pocket rockets, they are small but pack a punch of flavour and nutrients. Unlike cookies with maida, our cookies are full of nuts, making it more compact and dense. Also, maida cookies, when baked, the flour expands, increasing the overall size of the cookie. Remember, bigger is not always better.

• CAN YOU A DIABETIC CONSUME OPEN SECRET COOKIES?

The sugar content per cookie is between 1.2 – 2.3 grams depending on the flavour. Few of our most loyal customers are both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetic, and they eat our cookies based on their sugar levels. Everyone deserves some cookie love!

• CAN WE EAT YOUR COOKIES IF I AM ON A DIET?

Well, the correct answer is you can ALWAYS eat our cookies. Each of our cookies has 50 – 60 calories and 1 – 2 grams of sugar, depending upon the flavour. You can take a call based on your current diet preference. We are also a perfect cheat day snack.

• CAN I CONSUME OPEN SECRET COOKIES IF I AM ON A GLUTEN-FREE DIET?

This would vary from person to person and their level of gluten sensitivity. While there is no added maida in our cookies, rice crispies used in manufacturing might have small traces of wheat flour.

• WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF YOUR PRODUCT (S)?

One cookie weighs approximately 12.5 grams. The net weight of one tiffin pack that contains 2 cookies is 50 grams, and the net weight of the gift box is 300 grams, including packaging.

• WHAT IS THE ‘PERSONALISE IT’ SECTION ON YOUR PACKAGING?

Remember the days when you would write letters to express emotion? Us neither. We want to bring it back! We have a cute little space on the packaging you can use to write a heartfelt handwritten note to your loved ones (an excellent idea!) or even to yourself! We all deserve some self-love.

• ARE THERE ANY PRODUCT STORAGE GUIDELINES? 

Each cookie is individually packed with a shelf life of 4 months. Once opened, keep it a cool, dry place. But let’s be honest, you are going to eat these cookies as soon as you get your hands on them.

 

ABOUT PACKAGING

• WHY IS YOUR PACKAGING SO ELABORATE?

This ties to our Co-founder Ahana’s personal experiences. As a daughter of a working mother, Ahana was deeply inspired by the short notes her mother left in her tiffin box. At Open Secret, we want to rekindle this magic of personalization among people through the space to write special handwritten notes for loved ones.

• WHAT TYPE OF PACKAGING DO YOU USE?

We love the planet, turtles, dolphins and other miscellaneous sea creatures. All decisions we take are driven by a strong sense of purpose. So our packaging paper is recyclable and reusable in the form of handwritten notes.

 

ABOUT MANUFACTURING

• HOW ARE YOU ENSURING SAFETY AND HYGIENE PROTOCOLS AT YOUR MANUFACTURING FACILITIES AND IN DELIVERY, PARTICULARLY DURING COVID-19 TIMES? 

1. We are super compulsive about hygiene at our manufacturing sites, these are some of many steps we take to keep our hygiene standards high:
2. Our entire production facility is sanitized with ISO approved cleaning and sanitization chemicals.
3. Raw material and Packing material are stored only on clean and sanitized disinfected pallets.
4. Our Production staff use face masks, gloves, and head caps where applicable, during the cookie-manufacturing process.
5. We have trained our staff on COVID-19 safety etiquettes. GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) has been provided to all our manufacturing and dispatch employees.
6. On-ground team wash hands with soap and use sanitizer at least 5 – 6 times in a day.
7. Lastly, we have meticulously chosen and partnered with delivery service providers who strongly comply with all hygiene norms to ensure safe delivery of products to our consumers.

• DO YOU ACCEPT COD?

Yes, we accept Cash on Delivery as a payment mode. We are currently charging INR 50/- for all COD orders.

• WHAT IS YOUR POLICY RETURN?

We offer a replacement of products that might be damaged in transit. Replacement orders are processed immediately after our customer support team validates the damage via communication over e-mail or phone.
